In line with the Cambridge Elements series, all individual Elements will not only present the current state-of-the-art, but will be forward-looking, identifying new and exciting themes and topics for future research in Construction Grammar. The series will comprise Elements on the core assumptions of constructionist approaches, on how the theory can explain multimodal and creative language use, and also on current controversial topics. Elements in Construction Grammar will be open to various constructionist approaches and will also critically assess the claims of Construction Grammar from the perspective of competing theories and approaches. While most Elements will focus on theoretical issues, there will also be several contributions on methodology, empirical questions, or applied perspectives. |
