It focuses on diversity, NRPS, sesquiterpenes, lantipeptide, bioinformatics apparatuses, cloning, CRISPR, reverse engineering, FDA supported medications, and marine actinobacteria. It also covers the latest trends in drug discovery from actinobacteria, and introduces several recently developed bioinformatics and synthetic biology tools to explore new antibiotics from actinobacteria. Many natural products such as polyketides, isoprenoids, phenazines, peptides, indolocarbarbazoles, sterols, and others have been isolated and characterized from actinobacteria. Some products are synthesized by the non-ribosomal peptide synthetases (NRPSs), polyketide synthases (PKSs), or other functional genes. Although genome sequencing has uncovered the differing qualities of these chemicals, recognizing new items and their biosynthetic pathways is still under examination. Cryptic metabolic pathways have been explored using molecular techniques or culture-dependent approaches. In recent years, researchers' primary interest is to identify the specific conditions or agents that wake the cryptic antibiotics. Several bioinformatics and synthetic biology tools were developed to explore new antibiotics from actinobacteria. The book comprises 14 chapters with different aspects of application and utilization of actinomycetes from the microbiology; systems biology, pharmacology of natural products, bioinformatics, actinomycete and its diversity, CRISPR, artificial Intelligence, synthetic biology, metabolic engineering, expressional studies, and biosynthetic gene clusters. The book delivers useful information on actinomyces to researchers, novices in genome designing, specialists, clinicians, policymakers, and professionals.

Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Microbiologie Mots-clés : Microbiologie Biotechnologie General microbiology ecology Index. décimale : 579 - Microbiologie Résumé : This textbook addresses global and local environmental problems and the involvement of microorganisms in their development and remediation. In particular, methodological aspects, some of them molecular genetic, for the study of microbial communities are considered. Overall, the prominent role of microorganisms in various material cycles is presented. In addition to biochemical principles for the degradation of environmental pollutants, the use of microorganisms in environmental biotechnological processes for the purification of air, water or soil as well as in environmentally friendly production processes is discussed. The book is intended for biologists with an interest in environmental microbiological issues, but also for students of process or environmental engineering, geoecology or geology, as well as students of other environmental science disciplines. For the 3rd edition, the authors have completely revised, corrected, updated and supplemented the book. (4e de couverture)

This extensive book offers a comprehensively revised and extended treatment of dairy microbiology, including everything from fundamental knowledge on dairy foods to specialised areas such the microbiology of milk, raising animals, probiotics, and the conversion of why into useful products. The rumen's microbiology and the function of microbes in the production of milk are covered in Applied Dairy Microbiology provides solutions to issues with raw mild, fluid milk products, concentrated, and dried milk by examining the sources and contamination of raw milk. The current book offers comprehensive study of both theoretical concepts in dairy microbiology as well as real-world applications, covering the most recent advances in dairy starter cultures and genetic engineering methods. Additionally, the book provides entirely revised standards for good manufacturing practise, quality control, and practises for product creation.Microbiology of Dairy [texte imprimé] / Tong Zhao . - ETP, 2025 . - 284 pages ; 19 x 27 cm.

A thorough and understandable description of the numerous bacteria connected, either directly or indirectly, to foods and dairy products is provided in Food and Dairy Microbiology. The study of the fundamental factors influencing the existence, activity, and management of microbes in food is known as food microbiology. With a plethora of useful knowledge about the most important aspects and principles that affect microorganisms in food, the course also includes the main concepts needed to achieve the minimal standards for degrees in food science. A dairy is a structure used to collect animal milk for human use, typically from cows or goats but occasionally from buffalo, sheep, horses, or camels. A dairy is often found on a farm with a specific focus on milk production, such as a dairy farm, or in a part of a larger farm. The book will serve as a highly helpful text for students, a source of references for researchers and fundamental advice for teachers on the subjects.Microbiology of Products of Dairy and Food [texte imprimé] / Ding Tina, Auteur . - ETP, 2025 . - 323 pages ; 19 x 27 cm.
